Frequently asked questions
Can I build a multi-map cluster?
Yes. Order one server per map, give them the same ClusterId and enable transfers: your players move between maps keeping their characters, items and tamed creatures.
Are Workshop mods supported?
Yes, with no cap on the number. Put the mod IDs in the startup parameters: they’re downloaded and installed automatically. Plan for memory and disk accordingly — some mods are large.
Survival Evolved or Survival Ascended?
Our plans cover Ark: Survival Evolved, which is far lighter. Ascended needs a lot more memory and power: if that’s the version you want, open a ticket before ordering so we can size it properly.
How do I tune harvest and taming rates?
Every multiplier lives in GameUserSettings.ini, editable from the file manager: harvesting, experience, taming, breeding speed. Changes apply on the next restart.
Are my saves protected?
A daily automatic backup runs, and you can trigger one before any big mod update from the Backups tab. On Ark that’s a habit worth having: a failed mod update can corrupt a world.
